HOW IT WORKS – MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER IN HARROGATE
It all starts with a call or message. I tailor each bump shoot individual to every client. We can go fluffy dresses, simple and clean or naked if you wish! There is no pressure at all, we will talk briefly prior to your sitting about what sort of look you would like, and if you don’t know then I will do the rest! Whatever happens, and after all these years I haven’t yet had a client say that they did not love every second and walk out feeling like Beyonce! If you want some stand out maternity images – then I’m your girl!
We then discuss dates, I take the sitting fee which is £49, send you confirmation. The shoot then takes place, we drink coffee, put the world to rights, make you feel a million dollars and get THE most beautiful gallery.

Maternity / bump shoots are the ultimate treat. And lets face it, you deserve it! It is a time to come and feel lifted and leave with a gallery you will have to forever look back on.
Are maternity shoots for me? In short, yes! Now I know you will think “of course she’ll say that!” but it is from the heart. Common concerns I hear are that clients aren’t that confident in front of the camera, that they won’t look like my other client work, they don’t like how they look….. and I promise that anyone who has said that has felt totally different leaving my studio, and even happier seeing their gallery. This is your time, and your well deserved treat. Put your trust in me – I will do the rest!
Worried you have nothing to wear? Fear not! I have all you need! I may ask you to bring some bits from home to mix it up a bit or, bring your whole wardrobe if you like!
Maternity shoots are usually booked around 30 weeks plus, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. They usually take around 1-2 hours. I have a selection of hand made one off dresses as well as working with fabrics that i incorpirate into every sitting. Each shoot is tailored to you, exactly to how you want it. You can show as much or as little skin as you like.
I have found throught my years of experience that often clients feel excitment and sometimes nerves (but nice ones) when arriving but after the camera has clicked and lights flashed a few times theyre into the full swing, have suprised themself and left on a high. I always hear ‘i dont like myself in pics, especially now’ but it is my job to stop this and squash those insecurities and empower! The maternity sessions take place in my studio in Tadcaster, which is central and easy to get to from Leeds, York and Harrogate. They are tailored to you and you can use any of my dresses, or we can strip back for a clean simple look. I know some women often look at images and say ‘oh I wouldn’t look like that’, but I promise you, you will!

How many weeks should i be?
As a rule of thumb 30-35 weeks. However I have done maternity shoots early and even days before baby has arrived!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
I ask that you come ready, with your hair and make up done (of this is how you feel your best). Also if you have any floaty dresses, black or white vest tops / leggings or off the shoulder tops to bring those. These are not essential as I have all the goodies, sometimes its cool to have other bits to be working with.
How long will the maternity shoot take?
On average 1-2 hours. There is free parking and really no time pressure. This is about the experience itself to be enjoyable and memorable as well as loving the final outcome.
