Why should i choose evelyn and her sweet peas photography?
Photography is subjective. And the first things have to be that you love the variety of work and feel a connect. I have many years of experience under my belt. I love to learn and will continue to do so to continue to improve in my craft. This means I am experienced in lighting, posing and post production so you are investing in exactly that. My props and dresses are mostly hand made or one offs to maximise your experience and enjoy from start to finish.
when is the best time to shoot maternity and newborn?
There is no exact time set in stone. However, its best we can see a good size bump so anything from 30 weeks. I have had clients book in days weeks before baby is born.
Newborn shoots are best done from day 5 – 21. when theyre still nice and snoozy and scrunched. I advise booking at your 20 week scan to ensure your space, however don’t panic if you haven’t, just message me to see what availability I have. Once I take the £49 deposit I pencil in your due date, wait to hear from you and the book you day in the coming weeks!
i really dont like my photo being taken....
I hear this all the time and actually I feel the same. I firmly love being on my side of the camera. BUT, being present and recording such memorable moments is priceless and it something I promise you will not regret. This applies to maternity, newborn and family portraits. You come ready, I do the rest, literally – you go away feeling amazing!
how long do shoots last?
For newborn – it really depends on them. My shoots are all baby led and very relaxed. Anything from 2-4 hours on average.
Maternity and family portraits 1-2 hours.
what happens after the sitting?
After your shoot you are invited back to view your gallery! very exciting! There you can choose wall art, digitals or both. I am here to guide you as to what will meet your needs and also what type of show stopping artwork will suit your house.
what do we wear?
Bring a few options! I always say things that colour coordinate. Sunday best aswell as jeans and white / black tops. think timeless. No logos or heavy patterns.
what is included in the £49 sitting fee?
The sitting fee is made payable at the time of booking. It secures your space and is non refundable. This covers my time on the day as I only book in one shoot per day to allow plenty of time ensuring a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.
how will i know what wall art and size to order?
Wall art can be viewed in house. I always say after the shoot look around your house for those perfect spaces and measure them. This way when you come back you are aware of sizing and when you have seen your finished gallery the rest falls together.
What types of payment do you take?
I accept bank transfer, cash, PayPal (family and friends) and credit card (small charges apply). Payment is due on the day of your viewing at the point of ordering.
last but certainly not least - where does your name come from?
My business is named after my beautiful mum, Evelyn and her favourite flower. Very sadly we lost her in 2010 so this is in her memory and its nice to see her name everyday. The image to the left is mum. She was incredible I am lucky to have had her for the time I did <3
